It's a quick day for me because we are having our company holiday party at lunch today and then we are done for the day. Woohoo!
I got my butt up for CrossFit this morning. AFTER the workout (which involved Presses and Back Squats), we ended with 5 minutes of handstands. That's not doing handstands up and down for 5 minutes. That is being in a handstand for 5 minutes over however long it takes you to get it done. Oh...and every time you came down, you had to do 10 sit ups. I think I ended up with about 140-150 sit ups. I held my first handstand for 45 seconds, but then they just kept getting shorter and shorter.
I was glad though because every time I kicked up into a handstand, I stayed there. Before each one (especially at the end!) my arms were shaking and I was so worried they would buckle and I would fall. But they held me every single time.
Tonight is a holiday party with some of my friends from Jazzercise! I have a feeling it was really good to get up for CF this morning. :)
Have a great weekend everyone and hugs to you!

So proud of you Hero! 5 total minutes of handstand sounds like an AMAZING accomplishment. I totally get the idea that with your arms starting to shake you may have been worried about falling. Think about how strong your arms have gotten. I am incredibly proud of you!
*little handstanding hearts*
NEVER in my entire life have i been able to do a handstand... you've inspired me to put that as one of my NSV goals! :)
Great progress! I think you look fabulous. I'm super impressed with your ability to get up in the morning for cross training and do 5 minutes of handstands! Exercise is my least favorite thing to do. Thanks for sharing:)
It will be a long time before I could even do one handstand :o) so a big congrats on doing 5min worth!!! Enjoy your party and have a great weekend.
How did you do at the party? By the way, how do you do a handstand? :)
I could probably balance on my head but not a handstand you rock!!!
Good job!
