You can call me Rocky from now on...

It's Tuesday and I'm still fired up so that is a good sign!  Yesterday I earned 22 points for myself.  Not bad!  I'm not going to sugar coat it, watching my calories is hard.  In order to lose weight at this point, I have to diet.  There are a lot of times that I feel hungry and I have to sacrifice.  But what I keep reminding myself is that pre-Band, I had to do that just to maintain.  113 Days left in my challenge, then I can go back into maintenance mode for a while.  :)

Yesterday I was talking to one of my coworkers about fashion.  I forget exactly what we were talking about but at one point she said that I could wear a style she couldn't because my thighs are smaller.  Wha?  I've always thought of myself as someone with a small waist, but big hips and thighs.  It is interesting that someone looking at me might think differently.  Whatever, I will take it!!

I went to CrossFit this morning.  We did 3 rounds of 5 reps of Push Presses (65#) and Front Squats (85#).  I feel like I did okay in that.  My knee was giving me a little trouble on the squats, but it was manageable until the very end.  Then we closed with 5 minutes of double unders.  I can't do double unders.  You do one by passing the jump rope twice on one jump and I have never been able to do even one.  Well, today was different.  With a few pointers from Butch, I did my first one EVER!  Then they started coming a little quicker.  I never did more than two at a time, but I did 13 over the course of those five minutes.  I was so psyched!!  I just need to go to Philadelphia and climb some stairs!!

Tonight is my monthly dinner with the girls.  I'm happy that we are going to a seafood restaurant and I already checked the menu.  I will be having grilled trout tonight which sounds delicious!  It is hard for me to choose the healthy options when there is gumbo, fried seafood and yummy stuff like that on the menu.  But for now, I need to sacrifice if I'm going to be successful. 

I just found out that my dad won't be coming for Thanksgiving.  :(  Both of my parents were going to drive out for the week, but my dad has the opportunity to work that week.  He loves his part time gig and when he gets the chance, he has to take it so they don't find someone else.  These weeks of work give them extra money to do fun things, so I love that they called him.  But I'm a little sad that I won't get to see him.  But I will see him at Christmas!

I will make good choices today!

Yep, still my Hero. Love that you finally got the double unders hon! Saw them for the first time in that crossfit championship show a few weeks back. Was like 'OMG are they jumping once and passing that rope under twice'? G was like, yup! That's what it looks like! Good for you on your choices for the restaurant. Keep up the good work Rocky!!!
