Making Better Choices

Since Debi is on my ass...(and thank god for that!), I wanted to post about my lunch.  We were going to an Italian restaurant.  I have had salad the last three days, so that was out.  My choices seemed to be pizza, pasta, & sandwiches.  In other words...Carb City, Sweetheart!

When looking at the menu at the restaurant and as an appetizer, there was an antipasto dish.  Meat, cheese, olives and some bread.  That's what I decided to get.  When I got back in the office, I added up all my calories and I was below my target for the day.  YAY!!

It wasn't what I WANTED to get, but it was somewhat tasty and it certainly was more calorie conscious than lasagna.  The cheese was a little to mild for cheese plate cheese...bring on the stinky cheese!  But over all, it was tasty.

That's it...just checking in with a good choice!

HUGS!

Awesome! I don't exactly know what antipasta is (lol), but I might have to order that next time I go out and I don't want a salad/bread. :)

Good choice Beth! Lately I just get irritated with what I order. Well irritated with myself because my eyes are always bigger then my stomach. Literally!! I'll get it. Eventually!

I always order an appetizer now, no matter what, it just seems so wasteful. I'm with you...bring on the stinky cheese! LOL!

That's so fantastic that you made the right choice! I know that had to be hard in an Italian restaurant. That's for sure my weakness! Thanks for your encouragement and good advice on my blog today!

I made it to my first running practice and ran 3 miles straight - woo hoo! That's a really big deal for me. So is taking 'rest' days - I seem to be full throttle or nothing - which pretty much sums up my life too. Ha!

Well thanks again girl and keep up the great work!
